A few weeks ago, I finished a fantastic book by Susan Shapiro. It's called Only As Good As Your Word, and it's a memoir that nicely captures the ups and downs of being a writer and finding mentors along the way. There's also a section with tips on being a protege, which should be required reading for every aspiring scribe. I've blogged about other writing books, but I'd like to get your recommendations.
